Kajuru Local Government Council of Kaduna state has called on Christian faithfuls and Nigerians to use the Easter period to pray for the peace and unity of the country.
The Council Chairman, Mr Dauda Madaki made the call while delivering a speech during the Esther Sunday Service held at the Ecwa English Service, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna.
The Easter period is a symbolic moment that reminds Christians of sacrifice, redemption, and renewed hope, as exemplified in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Delivering his Easter message on behalf of the Kaduna state Governor, Senator Uba Sani the Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Council, Mr Dauda Madaki called on the people to support all Government programs and policies.
Mr Dauda Madaki urged the people of Kajuru and Kaduna State to rally round the administration of Governor Uba Sani, whose vision is to foster unity, bring development and ensure the safty of lives and property of the citizens.
Expressing appreciation to the Council Chairman for celebrating Easter with Kufana Chiefdom, the Agom Kufana Mr Titus Dauda, appealed to the council chairman to execute more developmental projects in Kajuru.
The Agom Kufana also urged Christians to extend his heartfelt Easter greetings to everyone, calling on the local, state and the federal government to come up with more programmes that will effectively help Nigerians to cope with the economic challenges being faced.
The Easter Sunday Service led by the Minister in charge of the Church, Reverend Peter Dantata was also graced by the Councils Vice Chairman, Muhammad Shuaibu, former Chairman of Kajuru, Mr Cafra Caino, and other key political figures in the area.
After the Church service, Mr Dauda Madaki and his Council members, alongside village and district heads of Kufana, accompanied the Agom Kufana, Mr Titus Dauda to his palace for Easter greatings were he appreciated everyone for their kind gesture.
